JETPrep Essentials is a skill-building program designed to help you feel confident stepping into your classroom, working with your co-teacher, and navigating daily life in Japan with clarity and purpose.

Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Program.
JETPrep is where you practice, grow, and prepare to live it.

Designed by a former JET Program Prefectural Advisor and built with insights from current and alumni JET participants.

Do I need to be applying this year?
No — JETPrep Essentials is designed to support you at any stage, whether you’re just exploring or actively preparing.

Is this only for ALTs?
No — the program is designed for both ALT and CIR applicants.

​

Is this affiliated with the JET Program?
No — JETPrep Essentials is independently developed, with insights from current JET participants and alumni.

​

Will I receive anything after completing the program?
Yes — you’ll receive a certificate of completion that you can include on your résumé or LinkedIn.

​

What if I fall behind or don’t complete everything?
That’s completely okay. The program is designed to meet you where you are — you can move at your own pace and engage in what’s most helpful to you.

​

Are the live sessions required?
No — all live sessions are optional, and recordings are available if you can’t attend.

​

How long will I have access?
You’ll have access throughout the full preparation season, including all recordings and materials.
