🌏 JETPrep High School -

For Educators

Best for teachers who want to help students explore where Japanese can take them — beyond the classroom.

JETPrep High School is a free, flexible enrichment experience that helps students connect their Japanese studies to real people, real pathways, and future possibilities.

It’s designed to fit easily alongside what you’re already teaching — with short, self-paced activities, optional live sessions with guest speakers, and guided reflection.

Inspired by global pathways such as the Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Program, this experience helps students begin to see how language can open doors — both in Japan and beyond.

We’re building this alongside educators — and your insight helps shape what this can become for students.

👉 No additional grading. No extra curriculum load. Just an opportunity for students to explore what their learning could become.

🎥 Welcome for Educators

👉 If you’re wondering “what exactly is this?” — this is the best place to start.

This short video provides a quick overview of:

  • what the program is

  • how students participate

  • how it can fit into your classroom, club, or enrichment setting

No extra grading. No additional curriculum load.
Just an invitation to explore.

Meet the People Your Students Will Learn From

Real experiences. Real perspectives. Real-world connections.

You’ll hear from educators, professionals, and former JET participants who bring real-world global experience into their work — and into the classroom.

Their stories help students connect language learning to real opportunities, careers, and cultural understanding beyond the classroom.

These voices help students see not just what they are learning — but why it matters.

There’s no one way students will use what they learn — but with the right exposure, they begin to see what’s possible.

🧭 WHAT THIS PROGRAM IS

JETPrep High School is not a Japanese language course.
It is a flexible enrichment experience that helps students explore what Japanese can lead to.

Students use this program to:

  • connect Japanese to real-world opportunities

  • hear from people who have studied, lived, or worked in Japan

  • reflect on their interests, strengths, and future possibilities

  • build confidence talking about their learning and goals

This program works as a bridge between classroom learning and real-life pathways.

👉 It is not designed to teach Japanese — it is designed to give meaning to learning it.

🌱 WHAT STUDENTS DO — AND WHAT THEY GAIN

Students participate flexibly and at their own pace.

👉 This experience is designed to move students from curiosity → to clarity about what their Japanese learning can become.

Through the program, students:

  • complete short self-paced reflection activities

  • join optional live sessions with JET alumni, educators, and professionals

  • connect with other students studying Japanese

  • explore how language learning connects to study, travel, and careers

  • create optional reflection pieces they can use for future opportunities

By the end of the program, students develop:

  • stronger confidence in themselves as learners

  • a clearer sense of direction and possibility

  • language to describe their interests and growth
