JETPrep offers several programs designed to support different stages of your journey to Japan.

JET Application Workshop is the ideal starting point if you're exploring the JET Programme and preparing to submit your strongest application.

Readiness helps participants build the confidence, knowledge, and practical skills to thrive as Assistant Language Teachers through guided learning, live sessions, and community.

Do I need to be accepted to the JET Programme to participate?
No.
Most JETPrep programs are designed for people who are still exploring the JET Programme or preparing their application.
Some programs are designed for accepted participants preparing for departure.

Are JETPrep programs only for future JET participants?
While our programs are designed with the JET Programme in mind, many of the skills—cross-cultural communication, teaching confidence, reflection, and adaptability—are valuable for anyone interested in living, teaching, or working in Japan.
How much time do the online programs require?
That depends on the program.
Our self-paced courses are designed to fit around work, school, and other commitments. Live sessions are scheduled in advance, and recordings are available whenever possible.

What makes JETPrep different from other preparation resources?
JETPrep combines practical preparation with reflection, community, and conversations with current and former JET participants.
Our goal isn't simply to help you complete an application or prepare for departure—it's to help you build the confidence, relationships, and perspective that support your experience before, during, and after Japan.
What happens after I complete JETPrep?
Your journey doesn't end when a program finishes.
Many participants continue their journey through future opportunities with Positive Global Learning, including JETThrive programs for current JET participants, JETBeyond programs for life after JET, and a growing community of alumni, educators, and mentors.
Are the travel programs tours?
No.
Our Education Immersion programs are designed as educational experiences rather than traditional tours.
Participants step inside Japanese schools, engage with local communities, learn alongside educators and students, and experience daily life in Japan through meaningful cultural exchange and reflection.
Can I stay involved after participating?
Absolutely.
One of our goals is to build a lifelong community of globally minded learners.
Many participants stay connected through future programs, virtual events, mentorship opportunities, volunteer roles, and alumni gatherings.
